Parents may be provided with information & handouts about child development, intervention approaches and home activities.

Assessment session with a licensed Speech Pathologist.

Written reports are provided for an additional fee.

Fee is dependent on number and types of assessments.

Funding Packages and Rebates

If you have a Private Health Care fund you may be eligible to claim a rebate for Speech Pathology assessment and therapy services. Contact your Private Health Care provider to find out more.

Your child may be eligible to receive funding through Medicare or early intervention services for children with Autism (HCWA) and Children with Disability (Better Start). Details of available funding packages are provided below. Please contact Learn & Grow if you require more information or assistance with your application.

 Chronic Disease Management Plan (previously Enhanced Primary Care – EPC)

For children and young people who have a “chronic condition” (including communication delay/disorder) and who require support from at least two specialist health care professionals. The referral must be made by a GP. Your GP may require a letter and/or supporting documentation from the Speech Pathologist.

Children aged 0 – 13 years who have a diagnosis of Autism. The referral must be made by a registered paediatrician or psychiatrist to a FaHCSIA funded Speech Pathologist.

Any child aged 0 – 18 years of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. The referral must be made by a GP.
